Congratulations on your 90th birthday!
Being a renowned expert on ship geometry you realized at an early stage the power of combining CAD with CFD and optimization techniques. We got in touch more than 30 years ago when TUB was one of the first users of Flowtech’s CFD software SHIPFLOW. At that time, you helped us in developing the code by reporting your experiences. But our cooperation strengthened and when your former students Stefan Harries, Karsten Hochkirch and Claus Abt started Friendship Systems we entered into a long-lasting cooperation. As a result, we can offer a powerful system that combines all three components: CAD, CFD and Optimisation. We believe both companies have benefitted greatly from this cooperation, which was inspired by you a long time ago, and we owe you great thanks for your foresight.
